It’s hard to learn when you’re hungry, and no one is ever turned away in a Fort Zumwalt café. Our Student Nutrition Services department is proud to provide more than 14,000 meals to our students each day. Did you know they make that happen on zero local tax dollars?
Funding for Student Nutrition Services comes from the sales in our cafes, coffee bars and vending machines, as well as from federal sources. Keeping your child’s account current helps us keep students fed.
As students return for the second semester, please take a moment to check your child(ren)’s meal balance(s) in the parent portal. Should your family be in need, use the Student Nutrition button on any of our websites, then scroll down to Free-and-Reduced Application Info to see if you qualify for assistance. We understand that not all families in need will qualify for the federal program. Families in this situation should reach out to their school counseling department, assistant principal or principal to learn more about resources available.
When we all do our part, all of our students can reach their potential. It’s hard to learn when you’re hungry, and no one is ever turned away in a Fort Zumwalt café.
