Get ready to lace up those sneakers—our annual Dardenne Elementary Walk-A-Thon is just around the corner! This exciting event is a fun way for students to stay active while supporting our school community.
What Is a Walk-A-Thon?
The Dardenne Walk-A-Thon is a kid-powered fundraiser. On Wednesday, April 1st, during the school day, students will walk laps around our track.
In the past, donors pledged a certain amount for each lap a child walked. However, that required families to collect pledges first and then follow up again to gather donations. Today, we’ve simplified the process! Donors are invited to give any amount they feel comfortable contributing before the event, allowing the Walk-A-Thon itself to be a fun celebration of our students’ efforts.
Why Are We Doing a Walk-A-Thon?
This is our big fundraiser for the year, and we are hoping to raise $15,000!
Funds collected will support:
Improvements to our playground
PTC-sponsored programs that enrich student experiences
When Are Pledges Due?
All pledges are due by Thursday, March 19th, by the end of the day.
How Do I Get Started?
Online (Quick and Easy!)
It only takes a few minutes to set up your child’s fundraising page.
Enter your child’s name, your email address(es), and select their group.
Click “Add” — this will take you to your newly created pledge page!
From there, you can make a donation and easily share the page with friends and family.
Paper Option
If you are unable to register online, you may collect cash or check donations instead.
Checks should be made payable to Dardenne Elementary PTC.
Please write “Walkathon,” your child’s name, and grade on the envelope.
Return donations to the school by Thursday, March 19th.
Our Goal
We are aiming for 100% participation—every student involved makes this event even more special. Remember, no amount is too small, and every contribution helps our school grow!
