As first grade wrapped up their Human Body CKLA unit, students had two very special guest speakers—Nurse Dianne and Nurse Shannon! Nurse Dianne shared what it’s like to work in the emergency room and help patients in urgent situations. Nurse Shannon talked about her role in caring for newborn babies in the NICU. The students loved learning from these real-life heroes and seeing how their lessons about the human body connect to the important work nurses do every day.
