At Dardenne, we have started to include grade-level Principal Chats each week.
Teachers select students who have been good role models and are living the 7 Habits. These students meet in the mornings with the principals to discuss what is going well at Dardenne and what we could do as a school to improve our school community.
Today Dr. Allen and Mrs. Claybon met with an amazing group of 5th grade leaders.
When asked what is going well at Dardenne, they stated. . .
"I love math!"
"My teacher is positive and is always willing to help me."
"I love all the opportunities we have at Dardenne (e.g., speaker leaders, Principal Chats, clubs)."
When asked what we could do to improve our school community, they stated. . .
"We would like to include even more leadership roles at Dardenne."
"We think it would be helpful to post positive reminders about hallway expectations."
Dr. Allen and Mrs. Claybon took notes, and we are looking forward to meeting with some great 4th grade leaders next week!
