NMS Principal's Corner - April/ May
NMS Families,
Wow! The school year has flown by and we are so close to the finish line. Before we get there, I want you all to be aware of some very important items still on our to-do list.
1) MAP testing begins next week on April 28th. These are state required tests for each grade level. It will be important for students to be well rested, and to come to school ready to give their best effort on each exam they have to take. We will make sure to spread their testing out so please be aware your son/daughter could have tests anytime up until May 16th.
2) As North Middle School dives further into utilizing Leader in Me to transform our school culture and build young leaders, we need your help. This link is for families to give us some feedback on our progress in the areas of leadership, culture, and academics.

3) We have quite a few important events coming up. I'd like to highlight just a few to ensure you have them on your calendar:
* NJHS Induction, Mon Apr 28 at 6pm @ NHS
* Spring Jazz Concert, Tue May 6 at 7pm @ NHS
* Spring Band Concert, Tue May 13 at 7pm @ NHS
* Spring Orchestra Concert, Wed May 14 at 7pm @ NHS
* Spring Choir Concert, Wed May 21 @ NHS
* NMS Awards Ceremony (Invite Only), Thurs May 22 @ NHS
4) We also wanted to remind families that Friday, May 30th is our last day of school. This is a half-day for students. Our eighth graders will participate in a fun field day. Please remember that all school supplies should have already made it home by this point. Students are not allowed to carry anything on the bus with them on the last day.
Thank you for your continued support,
Dr. Jeffrey Blankenship
Principal, FZ North Middle School
